Premium weaned sales offer weaned, health-verified, and pre-conditioned calves and yearlings that are ideal for grazing or the feedlot. Premium sales are held five times a year in conjunction with our Stocker and Feeder Calf Sale and regular sale in San Saba.

To qualify for the sale, cattle must follow the Vac 45 program which requires the calves to be weaned a minimum of 45 days, given two rounds of a Four Way Virus (modified live vaccine) for IBR - BVD - PI3 - BRSV,  Pasteurella vaccine, Clostridial 7-way plus Haemophilus, and dewormed. All cattle included in the Premium Sale must meet the specific guidelines and have a certified form.

In order to remain a competitive marketing option for producers, we have developed the concept of a verified process and pre-conditioned stocker and feeder sale that combines the best producer management practices with an innovative marketing programs from small, mid-size, and large producers.

All cattle involved in the Premium Sale must meet specific sale guidelines and certification criteria. The cattle in the sale undergo a weaning program that prepares calves for optimal performance on grass or in the feedyard.

This program is focused on developing the "market preferred" calf of today by our producers.

Procedures
If you are interested in participating in the Premium Weaned Calf Sale, you must adhere to the following procedures:

1. Contact Jordan Cattle Auction to consign and request a copy of the Guidelines Certification Form.
2. A representative from Jordan Cattle Auction will visit with producers prior to the sale about the cattle and they need to be delivered by Tuesday prior to the sale.
3. Completed Certification Form must be returned to Jordan Cattle Auction when the cattle arrive or emailed to kristi@jordancattle.com.
4. After arrival, cattle will be placed on feed & water.  Premium calves will sell at the beginning of the calf sale.
